My History Behind It
I was watching Toonami, and a new show started airing name Yu Yu Hakusho. I was like alright I’ll watch it since it was around the same time Dragon Ball Z aired. Wow did I get hooked on this one. If you like fist fights and spirit energy getting thrown around this anime is just for you.

Plot
The protagonist (Yusuke Urameshi) was a regular punk teen boy that got into a whole bunch of fist fights and brawls. He was the best fighter in town and everyone feared him, but his life changed drastically when he jumped in front of a car to save a small boy. He died and was surprised to learn that he was given a second chance, because the spirit world wasn’t expecting him to jump in front of the car. He wasn’t totally left off the hook, because he had to become the spirit world’s lackey, and his job was to take care of some demon ass on planet earth. Watch Yusuke get stronger and save the Earth from time to time.

My Dislikes
The artist could have done a better job, but who am I kidding I can barely draw stick figures. The anime is long, so I guess he or she had to compensate, so I’ll go easy on the poor artist. The episodes in the beginning are kind of slow, but after that smooth sailing.

Pure Ranting
All the characters are pretty cool in this anime, and they all bring their own feel to the table. The spirit energy being thrown around is amazing, and the fights are epic. I love it when the main characters get their faces beaten to a pulp, and win in the end. A lot of anime obviously do this, but in this one it feels a lot more real. Did I mention there are all out fighting tournaments in this anime? (kick ass people get destroyed)

Oh Yah, My Likes
I love the spirit gun, who doesn’t like a gun that can kill your opponent with one flick of the finger. I wish I can do it, and to make it more believable there is a limit to what he can shoot out. (awesome) I also love this anime because it is pretty long, and the ending satisfied me enough to make me stop crying that it was over. All around good anime!
